After obtaining his business studies degree, Jamie joined Rattner Mackenzie in 2005 who at the time were owned by Houston Casualty Company. He then moved to the Bermuda office where he served nearly three years learning about the global reinsurance market and helping to place HCCs treaty business. He then spent some time in Rattner’s New York office where he was employed principally to build the business of a major coverholder. Jamie left Rattner Mackenzie to form Prospect Brokers in 2010 and was designated Insurance Day’s Young Broker of the Year in 2012 in recognition of his work at Prospect. Jamie was appointed Managing Director of Prospect in January 2015.
Nick has worked at Costero Brokers since its inception in August 2017. Nick has over 36 years’ experience in the London insurance industry, specializing in property, business interruption and contingent business interruption. Nick’s client handling and placement experience covers a broad range of industry sectors, which he has supported through program design, bespoke policy wordings, capacity management, claims management, and alternative structures, including captive design and establishment. While primarily focused on the US markets, Nick has experience in Caribbean, LATAM, Africa, MEA, APAC and Europe business.
Stuart Freeman started MarRisk Energy Services after a 17-year career in the London market, including working at Bradstock Blunt and Crawley and JLT Re, where he worked on accounts varying from facultative reinsurance of worldwide markets and accounts to insurance of multiple National Oil Companies. Stuart has enjoyed over 28 years of experience in the Upstream / Downstream insurance, reinsurance facultative and treaty markets. He also has a number of years’ experience with regard to the developing renewable markets.
John began his insurance career in 1986 and has enjoyed a long career on both the underwriting and brokerage side of the insurance business. He was fortunate to begin trading in the London marketplace in 1994 and immediately appreciated the broad capabilities of Lloyds of London.
John serves on the board of various insurance organizations and companies and currently serves as Director of the Costero Board.
George continuing a family tradition from 1929, started his career in the private insurance sector 40 years ago. Combining his degree in Business Administration with post graduate studies and practice in insurance and reinsurance in London and Basel, George specialised in non-life insurance classes. After serving in key roles in the insurance company market in Greece, George decided in 1994 a carreer change as the founder of Europrotection Insurance Brokers S.A., a leading wholesale broker and member of the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, with affiliates in Greece, the US, Cyprus and Bulgaria. George joined Costero in 2020 as the Managing Director of Costero Europe.
Immediately after graduating in history from The University of Liverpool in 1998, Tom began his professional career at international accountancy firm Mazars where he qualified as chartered accountant. He then held several senior finance positions in the London Insurance Market on both the distribution and broking side before in 2010 joining one of the largest independent Lloyd’s brokers, Alston Gayler, as CFO. Here Tom was part of the leadership team that drove through significant growth before the business was successfully sold to Miller Insurance Services at the end of 2018. Tom joined Costero in 2020 and sits on the boards of both Costero Holdings and Costero Brokers.
